I've always wondered how Instagram superstars, bloggers, and the like, manage to keep their posts look uniformely nice and elegant at the same time. I myself have not yet achieved the feed goals that almost everyone was vying for.
For some time, my Instagram account has been messed up with photos with different lighting, contrast, and filter. This 2016, my main goal was to stay loyal with one theme to keep my feed and even my blog posts look more organized. With that, I will be sharing with you some apps I usually use that could help you achieve those feed goals.

1. Snapseed
In this app, what I usually use is the Selective tool. It lets you point to only a specific area in the image to edit its brightness, contrast, and saturation. This is very ideal for photos with white backgrounds for it cleans only the part where you want it to be. You can also manipulate this to balance the tones of the image. Aside from the selective tool, there are also other functions that you could choose from.
2. VSCO Cam
I think VSCO cam is great for editing structured pictures with natural lighting.
I don't usually go for VSCO when my photos are simply random just for the sake of posting or beautifying your feed. But I must say that VSCO has a wide range of classic filters and you can also manipulate the exposure, contrast, etc.
3. Afterlight
This app is paid but there are ways on how you can download it for free. Just search the net to find out how. Among the three editing apps that I have shown you, this one is my favorite. It has the most useful tools that makes your photos look the same in structure. Afterlight also has some nice effects and frames, but it says that you have to buy the full pack before you could use it. I did not want to pay so I just experimented on some techniques on how I could use those features without spending.
4. Adobe Post
This app is great for making posters and labels. There are already presets but you can be creative as much as you want.
5. Resizer
I use this app to adjust the width and length of the photos to make it uniform in size.
6. Perfect 365
I use this for my selfies to correct some facial features and to avoid looking pale. This is where you can get the "pampakinis" effect and instant make up but remember not to put too much because it won't look natural anymore. Who wants to look like a clown anyway?
7. Eraser Free
This is just basically a background eraser. When I'm too lazy to get my laptop and open GIMP, this is what I use to make a collage of pictures with transparent backgrounds. Using this is not easy because of the brush. But if you're patient enough, it would be a nice app to keep.
8. VidLab
This is for editing videos on your phone. Sadly, only 15 seconds can be edited per video. You can just combine it afterwards using this next app:
9. iMovie
Here, you can combine videos and voice record at the same time. This is what I use for making mini vlogs.
I hope that this post will be helpful for you as well. Comment down below if there are other convenient apps that are great for Image and Video processing. 👌🏼
CutStory is a video editing app for Instagram stories. It makes it easy to chop a longer video up into the required length for Instagram Stories (15 seconds maximum per clip). This way, you can repurpose longer videos—from your brand’s YouTube library, for example—and create more robust content without having to continually stop and start the camera.
