Rose Quartz and Serenity

Happy New Year everyone!! How are you guys doing? I hope that all is well. It was quite some time since I last had an outfit post, a blog post rather, so I decided to be active in blogging once again.

Every start of the year, most of us engage in some tradition to make sure that we will have a great year ahead. Checking what our Zodiac Sign tells us about what will happen for the year and consulting Feng Shui advisers with what lucky charms we should have are just part of the list. In line with that, I'm pretty sure that we also become aware of what the lucky color for the New Year is. Thanks to some talk shows and news trivia for updating people about this because even the ones who are not really into researching trends are also updated. I remember when I was still a kid, my family would wear outfits based on the lucky color during the New Year's Eve mass.

According to famous fashion blogs and magazines such as stylebible.ph and candymag.com, the Pantone color of the year is not just one, but two. Rose Quartz and Serenity are the two colors of the year which gave a more sophisticated aura for 2016. If you guys are not familiar of what these words are, they are just the complicated versions of light/pastel blue and light/pastel/coral pink. There's just difference when it comes to contrast and exposure, but it's basically the same. I believe that the fabric also plays a big role in flashing the said tones.

For my outfit, I wore a turtle neck long sleeves in Serenity and an over-sized three fourths outerwear in Rose Quartz. I paired these with a high-waisted leather shorts and a pair of white honey comb Adidas Stan Smith. I sported my new cross-body bag which my parents gave me for Christmas. It's in turquoise with some gold details just perfect to complement my necklace with Laureen Uy's initials that I got from her booth in Bloggers United 10 last December.

I've become a YouTube fan of some Filipina YouTubers over the Christmas break and I love how they taught their viewers how to make mermaid curls using a hair straightener. I'm also into natural hair and make up tutorials recently so I tried those things myself. As a beginner, I think I did great so far.

Thank you Queen Laureen for another inspired look! I got this idea from her vlog on Youtube. You might want to check it here: http://youtu.be/cxGcPI-705M

Just like her, I would also want to try new things most especially that I am dedicating this year 2016 for my personal growth and for me to spend my free time sharing with you my ideas rather than spending my free time with other things. I dedicate this year for my growth, my goals, and the people that matter most to me. ❤️
